Here, my guardian, Haetae!
Haetae is one of four mythical guardians in Korea. I love Korean mythical figures because they are somewhat funny and cute although they are very powerful and scary. I started from clay model, made a mold with the clay model using Oomoo 30 rubber mold, and lastly extract resin from the mold. Of course, polishing was followed. I used Prasti-kote sandable primer for cover transparent resin, and one of my Haetae is finished with stone textured spray paint. I confronted a problem that resin had a lot of tiny bubbles. Here, filler comes in handy. I used “Dap fast’n final lightweight spackling”. It worked like a charm!
I enjoyed the entire process, and next time I hope I can fly further.
